What is Apostila?

Apostille is a certificate issued by the competent authorities of a State signatory to the Hague Convention (5 October 1961), for official documents drawn up in that country, but which are to be submitted in the territory of another State signatory to the Convention. The purpose of issuing the Apostille is to authenticate the origin of an official deed, with a view to preventing any use of forged deeds to give rise to legal effects.

The institutions that have legal powers to affix apostilles on translated documents are the Bucharest Tribunal, the Prefect's Office, and the Chamber of Notaries.

We only provide notarization and apostille services at the customer's request and subject to additional costs.
